Loch Lomond 25 Year Old 1995 (cask 15008) - Old Particular (Douglas Laing)
Single grain Scotch whisky from the Loch Lomond Distillery, known for being incredibly adaptable and producing a medley of whisky styles. This expression was distilled in November 1995 and allowed to mature for 25 years in a refill hogshead cask, until it was bottled in May 2021 by Douglas Laing for the Old Particular series. 238 bottles were produced.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Toffee, peanuts, Bounty Bars, and a smidge of hickory.
Palate
Maple syrup, icing sugar, nutmeg, a hint of hay, Brazil nuts.
Finish
More nutmeg and vanilla, with pear drops in support.
