Wine Cask
A 22 year old single malt from the Loch Lomond Distillery, released in 2022 to honour all the courses where The Open Championship has been held since 1860, from Prestwick to St. Andrews. For this expression, a combination of stills were used to create the spirit, including Loch Lomond's straight neck and swan neck stills. It was aged firstly in American oak, and treated to a Haut-Medoc Claret barrique finish.
Jammy red berries, mahogany, and spicy anise.
Chocolate and pear tart, cinnamon, stewed plum.
Delicate smoke and a whisper of dark chocolate once again.
