Bourbon
This tasty Highland grain whisky hails from Loch Lomond, and was distilled back in 1996. It was aged in a bourbon hogshead, though before bottling it was treated to a rather unusual finish in a first-fill Armagnac cask! Murray McDavid bottled the whisky at 50% ABV for the Select Grain series.
Stewed plum and candied citrus peel, with buttery caramel and fresh toast.
Brown sugar and oak spice, with almond croissant and liquorice, with some cherry compote in there too.
Some delicate peach appears alongside toasty oak, and oily nuts.
