Loch Lomond 22yo 1996

This tasty Highland grain whisky hails from Loch Lomond, and was distilled back in 1996. It was aged in a bourbon hogshead, though before bottling it was treated to a rather unusual finish in a first-fill Armagnac cask! Murray McDavid bottled the whisky at 50% ABV for the Select Grain series.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose Stewed plum and candied citrus peel, with buttery caramel and fresh toast.

Palate Brown sugar and oak spice, with almond croissant and liquorice, with some cherry compote in there too.

Finish Some delicate peach appears alongside toasty oak, and oily nuts.
