Inchmurrin 1996 (bottled 2018) - Malts of Scotland
Another fine addition to the fabulous Malts of Scotland range, this sherry-tastic Inchmurrin was distilled in 1996 and matured in a single sherry hogshead until it was bottled in 2018 at 51% ABV.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Through earthy forest floor aromas comes plenty of dried fruit, rich toffee and baking spice. Sweet tobacco and polished oak add depth.
Palate
In a full-bodied palate there's dried apricot, stewed plums and orange marmalade, with helpings of honey, vanilla and a little liquorice. Nutmeg, wet earth and ground coffee develop underneath.
Finish
Woodspice and dark chocolate notes linger.
