A tasty treat from the Loch Lomond Distillery, released under the Croftengea name which consists of peated expressions. This wonderful 16 year old single malt was finished in a Pedro Ximénez sherry puncheon, before being independently bottled by Alistair Walker as part of the Infrequent Flyers series. There was an outturn of 605 bottles from this cask.
Muscavado sugar, festive spice, and medicinal iodine.
Big sherry cask flavours, loads of stewed fruits, dried figs and raisins, treacle and cocoa with tender wafts of peat throughout.
Lingering peat smoke and sherry sweetness with gently peppery spice and saline undertones.
