Croftengea is the name which Loch Lomond uses when it produced peaty single malt Scotch whisky (the distillery is highly adaptable and can make all sorts of styles of whisky, we'll have you know). This is an independently bottling of said smoky single malt, matured for 14 years and finished in an Oloroso sherry casks before being bottled by Paladin. Just 46 bottles were produced.
Nutty brown bread with a touch of char, balanced by chocolate and sultana.
Orchard fruits drenched in honey, petrichor, singed hay, orange peel.
Hints of cooked apple last on the finish, with a smidge of oatcake.

A truly subtle malt to be drank neat at room temperature! Do not dilute or ice ... Just let the whiff of oak cask with the lingering sherry notes take you away. Gorgeous dram and limited outturn makes it that much more special!
