Croftengea 11 Year Old 2010 (cask 335) - The Wild Scotland Collection (Deerstalker)
A fabulous addition to the Wild Scotland Collection from indie bottler Deerstalker! Distilled at Loch Lomond in 2010, under the Croftengea name used for its peated expressions, this single malt was allowed to mature for 11 years in a single cask before being bottled. Now, we've not always been the best at correctly identifying our Scottish wildlife, but we're pretty confident that it's an otter on the label of this bottle right here.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Smoked malt and charred oak with wafts of poached peach and a drop of honey.
Palate
Peppery spice with grassy peat smoke, spiced orchard fruits with burnt sugar, and underlying traces of bonfire ash.
Finish
Toffee apples and burnt treacle mingle with just a touch of coastal salinity.
