This was distilled at Littlemill in 1985 before a 27 year maturation in a single cask (number 110). It was bottled in 2012 for Vintage Malt Whisky Company's Coopers Choice range.
Dried grass and pear drops. Hints of dried strawberries and allspice. Malty too, with just a touch of apple peel.
Vanilla custard and hints of banana loaf. Nutty, malty core, with hints of hay and black pepper.
Spiced finish. Grassy and green with apple peel and oak.

Another one we had at the MWC. This was a lovely dram and the highlight of the old & rare night for me. At first there is so much fresh fruit and all of a sudden comes a rush of berries and strong pink pepper. The palate contains a hidden rush of tropical fruit which catches you un aware. A beautiful lowland dram
