Linkwood 9 Year Old 2010 (cask 306427) - Infrequent Flyers (Alistair Walker)
This Linkwood was distilled over in the Highlands in 2010, and was whacked straight into a single hogshead. There it lay for just under a decade, and Alistair Walker bottled the single malt at nine years old in 2019. A limited 275 bottles were released for the Infrequent Flyers series at cask strength, a warming 59.6% ABV.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Toasted nuts and orange marmalade, with dried banana and cookie dough.
Palate
Oak char, grassy malt and chocolate raisins, fresh toast and vanilla.
Finish
Syrup sponge and banana bread.
