Linkwood 26 Year Old Rum Finish (Special Release 2008)
A rum finished Linkwood, distilled in 1981 and bottled in 2008 in a rather elegant 50cl bottle.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
The nose is quite peppery and of medium-body. There are notes of vanilla fudge and winter berries. There are chewy citrus notes and winter spice. Hints of chewy Tokaji and rum. A dark sugar note emerges with nuts. The palate is light and well-balanced with chewy winter spices and fruitcake. There are notes vanilla fudge with winter berries and dark sugar. The finish is of medium-length with notes of chewy walnut and fruit.
