A 26 year old single cask Linkwood, bottled by Bartels Whisky for their Highland Laird range. It was distilled in 1989 and left to age in a bourbon hogshead for 26 years, when it was then bottled at 50.8% ABV.
Thick with thyme honey and marmalade. A touch of spiced rum appears later on.
Quite malty, with wave after wave of buttery vanilla sweetness. Lingering brown sugar and plum.
Porridge oats and cigar box.
