This is a Carn Mor bottling of Linkwood, distilled in October 1996 and aged in a single ex-bourbon hogshead (cask 8227) for 21 years - until it was bottled in January 2018. It's a release of just 108 numbered bottles, at natural cask strength.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Crackles of black pepper fizz through toffee apples, floral honey and creamy vanilla.
Palate
Butterscotch leads with a touch chewy honeycomb, toasted oak and golden barley. Cinnamon percolates underneath with notes of apricot yogurt and espresso.
Finish
A little pine oil and a herbal element line the finish.
