Single Malt
This was distilled at the Linkwood distillery in 1970 before a refill sherry butt maturation. It was bottled especially for Gordon and MacPhail's exceptional Private Collection.
Cocoa and spice. Hints of coffee beans, Christmas pudding and PX sherry.
Very complex with notes of sherry, mixed peels and cooked fruit. Earthy and oily.
Long finish with dried herbs and dark chocolate.
Wonderful influence from the sherry cask.
