A splendid single cask single malt from Linkwood, distilled in October 2006 and matured for 14 years in a hogshead cask. After this good long rest, the cask was cracked open to release 282 bottles for the independent The Single Malts of Scotland series.
Lemon curd, fresh zest, and toasted almonds, with a warming touch of biscuity spice.
Roasted nuts, vanilla shortbread, and sugared dried fruits with more sweet lemon and a touch of vegetal grist.
