A 13 year old single malt here from the Linkwood Distillery up in the prolific Speyside region, distilled back in 2007. It was drawn from a single cask in 2020, and bottled by the always brilliant Berry Bros. & Rudd, presented at cask strength. Wonderfully creamy whisky as ever from Linkwood.
Foam bananas, sherbet lemons, and crumbly fudge, with fresh barley underneath.
Sponge cake, milky tea, apricot, and heavy vanilla. A prickle of cask spices, but the vanilla keeps everything mellow.
Buttery and sweet on the medium-length finish.
