Linkwood 12 Year Old 2006 (cask 87A) - Lady of the Glen (Hannah Whisky Merchants)
A 12 year old Linkwood single malt, distilled in 2006 and matured in a bourbon hogshead, with 50 litres taken from this hogshead to be finished in a first fill Pedro Ximénez sherry octave for just over four months. It was then bottled at 58.5% ABV for the Lady of the Glen range by Hannah Whisky Merchants in 2018.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Orange peel, a hint of smoke and dried fruits, namely raisins and sultanas.
Palate
A meaty smokiness with notes of sweet brandy alongside cloves, cinnamon and malt loaf.
Finish
Long and warming with a drizzle of treacle.
