Darkness selected this smashing single malt from Linkwood and gave it the sherry cask treatment in one of its custom-made little octave barrels! In this case, the sherry in question is Pedro Ximénez, bringing inviting layers of maple and soft spice to the orchard fruits and caramel at its core.
Maple pastries, woody clove, fresh berries and vanilla cream.
Delicate malt and richly sherried oak combine, with crisp notes of apple and sweet, cakey spice.
Apple fritters, honeyed dates, and fruit cake linger.
