Linkwood 10 Year Old 2011 (Thompson Bros.)

Speyside single malt from the Linkwood Distillery, independently bottled by Thompson Bros. This was distilled back in 2011 and matured for 10 years, with an outturn of 262 bottles. The label pictures a splendid pair of embracing swans, at least we hope they're embracing and didn't just get their necks in a tangle.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose

Lemon meringue and berry compote, orchard fruits, and baking spices.

Palate

Buttered oatcakes, zesty lemon curd, and peppery spice.

Finish

Apple crumble, honeyed nuts, plenty of spice, and fresh citrus.
