An indie bottling of single malt Scotch whisky from Speyside's Linkwood distillery, aged in a single refill hogshead for 10 years - from 2006 to 2017. This was bottled by Langside for the Hepburn's Choice range with an outturn of 382 bottles.
Spiced rum sweetness arrives first, before a layer of freshly harvested barley notes appear.
Quite herbaceous on the palate, with cardamom, basil and thyme. Still had hints of fruity sweetness underneath.
Creamy lemon zest. A hint of apple crumble, too.
