Single Malt
Gordon & MacPhail
Scotland

Distilled at Linkwood in 1972 and aged for 34 years in sherry casks before bottling by Gordon and MacPhail.
The nose is full with notes of waxy toffee and dry wood, hints of mixed peels and mocchaccino with a touch of honey. The palate is big and silken smooth in delivery with lush sherry notes pouring through the hints of calvados and zest, a little balanced acidity and oaked tannins with a little dryness. The finish is long with espresso, amaretto and notes of mocchaccino and oak tannins.

Had some of the Flaviar version under their Deer Bear & Moose label. Absolutely spectacular. A kaleidoscope of flavors, all of them pleasant. The one scotch in my collection I don't drink because then I'd run out.
I'm not sure why I didn't expect much from this scotch, but I was pleasantly surprised. Unfortunately, I cannot find another bottle!
This is a very smooth and easy drinkable whisky
