Lindores Abbey Friar John 2026 70cl Whisky

Lindores Abbey Friar John 2026 is matured entirely in ruby Port casks, rather than simply finished in them, bringing a generous helping of dark fruit, chocolate and spice to the Lowland single malt. Bottled at 52.5% ABV, without chill filtration or added colour.

The annual Friar John releases from Lindores Abbey honours the monk who received a royal commission from King James IV to make aqua vitae back in 1494, providing the earliest written record of Scotch whisky production. Each year on 1 June, the distillery marks the occasion by selecting casks for a special bottling.
