Ledaig 17 Year Old 1998 (cask 35) - The Cooper's Choice (The Vintage Malt Whisky Co.)
17 year old peated single malt from the Tobermory distillery, released under their Ledaig name! This Sherry-butt matured Island whisky was distilled in 1998 and bottled in 2015 for The Cooper's Choice range by the Vintage Malt Whisky Co., with 540 bottles produced. A good example of how peat and Sherry notes can work together wonderfully.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Thick smoke, quite earthy. Mocha, raspberry ripple ice cream and a little hint of sea salt.
Palate
Nutty Sherry, camp fire embers, dark chocolate.
Finish
Dry smoke lingers long on to the finish.
