A 2015 vintage Williamson single malt, heavily peated single malt from a famous Islay distillery that rhymes with... err... Charles Doig? The 9-year-old Scotch whisky was aged in a sherry hogshead and bottled by Morrison Distillers for its Càrn Mòr Strictly Limited range at 47.5% ABV.
Phenolic peat smoke intertwines with delicate stone fruits, a touch of coastal breeze and subtle spice.
Earthy peat smoke leads the charge, clinging to layers of dried apricots and golden sultanas. Gentle pepper, charred wood and a mineral undertone bring further dimension.
Soft, earthy smoke gradually fades, leaving a pleasant, slightly salty aftertaste.
