Williamson 10 Year Old 2010 - Strictly Limited (Càrn Mòr)
This handsome bottle from Càrn Mòr's Strictly Limited series is full of Islay single malt! A marvellous Laphroaig, released under the Williamson name (in honour of legendary former Laphroaig owner and distillery manager Bessie Williamson), and after it was distilled in 2010 it was rested in Oloroso sherry hogsheads for a decade. Eventually it was bottled up at 47.5% ABV, with an outturn of 1,139 bottles.

Nose
Waxy peels and toasted nuts supported by snubbed candle and waves of beach bonfire smoke.
Palate
Earthy peat smoke shrouds treacle toffee, peppery spice and oily malt.
Finish
A spicy, smoky finish of smouldering embers and plump dried fruit.
