Created by Distillery Manager John Campbell, Laphroaig Lore is said to be the richest ever Laphroaig! Named after the skills passed down over the generations, this permanent addition to the range is matured in a combination of casks including first fill Sherry butts and quarter casks and is said to contain some of their "most precious stock".
Pungent peat smoke and seaside minerals with a hint of ash and chocolate.
Lively with hints of bitter chocolate, ash and a spicy chili bite.
Short, dry finish with a lingering sweet aftertaste.

Having actually visited islay been to most of the distilleries, my friend and I concluded this to be the star and frankly blow the socks off Ardbeg and Bowmore and others at the £80 price bracket
Another 'Froig NAS for a hefty price. I will be patient and try one, but I doubt it be twice as good as Laph (NAS) Quarter Cask. For the price, new drinkers will abit less in their wee pocket to try others....TT
Despite it's hefty price tag I can't say I'm unhappy with my purchase via FoL. It's very mellow, indicating it's not full of 'young' whiskies, with a beautifully complex finish that develops the longer you let it linger and sip more of course!
Or do you fear that no one will buy after you have shown us...... Hopefully a very good Whisky, for this price it should be. If it is, i will buy. But I do not think it´s twice as good as Ardbeg Uigeadail.
I am simply fed up with this these overpriced NAS whiskies which will be good but unlikely to be better than the standard bottlings at less than a half of the cost.
