Independent bottler Dràm Mòr marked its fifth birthday in style in 2024 with a series of special whiskies, including this handsome single malt from Laphroaig! The whisky spent 11 years maturing in a single refill barrel, and there are precisely 300 bottles.
Bursting with classic Laphroaig peat smoke which has been wrapped around chew caramel toffee, a touch of salt and a cocktail of mild yellow fruit.
A dram which shows older than its years. The balance of peat versus sweet has to be enjoyed to be believed. Bright with fresh yellow fruit, a touch of freshly squeezed lemon juice and zingy white pepper ground over an open flame. Words cannot do this super whisky justice!
So so long. It showcases every aspect of this incredible dram to perfection. Not a finish, but a celebration!
