Smoke and sherry here from Laphroaig! The legendary distillery on the south coast of Islay has gone and released a fab 10 year old single malt Scotch whisky which has been finished in Oloroso sherry casks for over 12 months, and bottled up at 48% ABV. Alongside the familiar, intensely peaty elements of Laphroaig's classic 10 Year Old expression, you'll also find helpings of dark chocolate and maple syrup notes in this one's flavour profile. Yum!
Smoked meats, maple syrup, BBQ lemon, charred oak, a smidge of coffee.
More roasted cedar and peat smoke, with a hint of iodine tucked away. Dark chocolate, honey, and vanilla pod.
A balanced finish of sherried sweetness and smouldering peat.

Hopefully this is here to stay.Remarkable Laphroaig expression on sherry maturation.Exquisite depth of flavour
A wonderful harmony of sweet smokey sherry goodness.
Smokey and deliciously complex. Loses one star as it's a little overpriced.
I really. really enjoyed this - probably more than any other Laphroaig I've tasted. It's a gorgeous dark colour and sherry sweetness balances the peat really well but the peat is still pronounced on there finish. Normally I prefer Lagavulin and Ardbeg to Laphroaig, as I find the peat a bit too austere but this I enjoyed this, more than any whisky I tasted for the time, for a long time
Yeah. Not much else to say. So Smokey. Nicely sweet. Only had a taster but this is top drawer stuff.
