The latest batch of Laphroaig 10 Year Old Cask Strength demonstrates that the Islay distillery is in no danger of running out of peaty powerhouses for us to enjoy. This has all the smoky, medicinal, and sweet notes you've come to expect, and at a hearty cask strength, those flavours don't exactly hide.
Thick waves of iodine peat smoke followed by candied fruit and toffee.
Rich, earthy, and spicy heaps of clove, cardamom, and chilli. Then, salted caramel, blackcurrant, and a hint of liquorice.
Huge and drying.

Tried a bottle it is very smoky with a very medicinal Taste like tcp. Not a good experience for myself I would give it the benefit of the doubt and try again probably just a bad batch
Of the 10 years I've drank Laph 10y cs, this 2020year 10y cs seems to be the best. It tastes really strange
What can I say best peat/smoke of any whiskey I have tried.
Like having your first Laphroaig experience all over again. Absolutely in love this stuff. It beautifully overpowers your mouth with classic Laphroaig smoke and brine.
If you like the standard 10, you need to try it in this natural form. Smoke, salt, coffee but also beautiful salted caramel, pepper and the sea.
