Langatun 7 Year Old 2011 - Jacob's Dram

Langatun 7yo 2011 Jacob's Bottling Note

This release from Swiss whisky distiller Langatun demonstrates the brand's experimental and innovative side. It spent 7 years in a Pinot Noir cask before it was bottled at 49.1% ABV. This edition was named Jacob's Dream in honour of the founder of Langatun Distillery, Jakob Baumberger (1834-1888).

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Jammy red fruit, caramelised dates and a little golden syrup initially, with toasted almonds and buttered pastries in support.

Palate: Fresh malt and some firm oak notes give way for tart black fruit, dark chocolate bitterness and succulent vanilla.

Finish: Heather honey covers toasted barley in a long, satisfying finish.
