It's the very first batch of Langatun Cigar Malt! Fear not, there's no cigars in this Swiss whisky, rather the malt was designed to be drunk alongside a cigar, though not exclusively. To achieve this, Langatun blended together two barrels of whisky, a Chardonnay white wine barrel a Fino sherry barrel. The five year old was bottled at 45.6% ABV, and the idea was to bring enough strength and aroma brings to compliment a cigar without stealing the show. Mind you, even without a cigar, this is still a very unique and tasty whisky.
Floral malt, barley sugar and raspberry coulis, with butterscotch and prominent wine cask influence.
Dried fruit and soft brown sugar, with lemon curd, lychee, warming oak and buttery apple pie.
Raspberry jam, banana and custard, with a dash of praline.
