A tasty and rather unusual single cask Swiss whisky from Langatun, which was distilled in February 2014 and bottled in February 2019. Before bottling, the whisky saw a year long finish is casks which previously held Nero d’Avola wine. Nero d'Avola grapes are one of the most important red grape varieties in Sicily, boasting a deep red hue which imparted some of the lovely colour to the whisky, alongside a unique flavour profile. Only 411 bottles were released at 49.1% ABV, accompanied by a striking wooden presentation box.
Berry compote, milk chocolate digestives, with fresh and slightly tart summer fruits.
Fresh, juicy plum bursts onto the palate, with melted dark chocolate, oak spice, grape skin and barley sugar.
Vanilla fudge, plum jam and cookie dough.
