Langatun 5 Year Old 2014 - Cardeira Cask Finish
Behold, the third batch of Langatun's Cardeira Cask Finish! The Swiss single malt was distilled in March 2014, and was finished in a a Cardeira red wine cask. Eventually it was bottled at five years old in September 2019, with a limited 404 bottles released at a healthy 49.2% ABV. Best believe there's red berries galore among the orchard fruit here.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Fresh peach, caramel digestives and summer fruits, along with a touch of berry jam.
Palate
Both red and white grapes, a suggestion of smoke and more jammy berries, with a smidge of bitter orange.
Finish
Spiced French toast.
