One of three sublime limited edition whiskies released by Langatun in Switzerland. It was distilled in 2012 from un-smoked barley and matured initially in a former chardonnay cask before it was finished for seven months in a Cardeira red wine cask. The cask was sourced from Swiss winemakers Thomas and Erika Meier in Southern Portugal.
Nose Through fresh malt there's tart red berries, dried apricot and plenty of caramel.
Palate Fresh vanilla, white grape and marmalade-on-toast initially, with wood smoke and an underlying dark fruit note.
Finish Sweet spices linger.
