Langatun 5 Year Old 2011 - Quinta do Zambujeiro Cask Matured
An intriguing release from Switzerland's Langatun distillery. In 2011, they filled their spirit into casks from Portugal's Swiss-owned Quinta do Zambujeiro winery. In these casks the whisky matured until being bottled in 2017 at 49.1%.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Waxy orange, freshly cut malt, melted butter and some warming spice.
Palate
Juicy plum, polished oak, Alpine herb freshness.
Finish
A hint of dark rum fruitiness appears on the long finish.
