This Lagavulin 12-year-old single malt joined the 2008 batch of Diageo Special Releases. Matured in refill bourbon barrels and bottled at cask strength, it'll make a fine addition to a Scotch whisky collection.

This has got to one of the finest bottlings, I had the good fortune to lay hands on one this week and it has lived up to and beyond its expectations! The smoothest and silkiest of Islay malts.
