“Nothing else to say. Made me love peated scotch and is still my Top 1 favorite scotch. Smokey and peated without the medicinal note. Perfect.”

Believe the hype ( 2013 )

I didn't believe all the reviews could be correct but they are. This scotch is upfront but so smooth. Smoky but sweet, not as much iodine as other Islays. The alcohol is masked incredibly well, not too much though. The first sip will make you a believer, and a wee bit impoverished.

A Special Lagavulin

Quality, quality. This is a robust cask-strength that does not disappoint. Huge peat and smoke finish, a steady delivery to the taste and matured. A long, finish which is complex with bitter spices and pine. This is a bottle you take your time with.
