Lagavulin 10 Year Old 2006 - Single Cask (Master of Malt)
An excellent single cask 10-year-old single malt from the Lagavulin distillery on the south coast of Islay. This was aged in a single bourbon barrel from October 2006 to January 2017, and then we went ahead and bottled it for our very own Single Cask Series!
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Sea shells, Mint Humbugs and ham. A slowly developing hint of walnut, followed by burnt oak.
Palate
Rye bread and oily malt. Hot peat at the core, juxtaposed enjoyably with green apple and fresh nectarine.
Finish
Cracked black pepper, heather honey and toast. Slightly medicinal peat lasts.
