Description

A versatile single-grain Scotch whisky from Label 5, matured entirely in first-fill toasted bourbon barrels. It boasts an easygoing profile with plenty of vanilla, buttery pastry, and sweet grain that ought to be ideal for all sorts of cocktails.

Nose

Delicate notes of sawdust and oak char with waxed fruit and vanilla in tow.

Palate

Oaken vanilla leads the way, there's a touch of chocolate, and notes of orchard fruits beneath, backed by sweet cereal and a sprinkling of cinnamon.

Finish

Cinnamon biscuits, toasted almonds, buttery oak.

Great texture but light on flavour

I'm an amateur blender and bought this for blending, taste wise it's light, spirity and sweet but has a wonderfully oily texture which should be perfect for its planned use.
