Slightly peated French whisky from La Fabrique des Bières d'Anjou, also known as "La Piautre", a brewery and distillery located in La Ménitré, Maine-et-Loire. It produces whisky on its own Charentais-type still using grain supplied by three farmers within a 20km radius. This edition, made from the local organically grown 'aperture' barley variety, was malted and smoked on site then double distilled over an open flame in January 2019 and aged in a single Cognac barrel until it was bottled at 52.3% ABV.
