Back in 2015, we were the first retailer outside of Finland to stock the delicious spirits of Kyrö. Now, the fantastic team of Finnish distillers has gone and bottled up a single cask of its amazing rye whisky exclusively for us! This expression is made with 100% Finnish rye, which has been double pot distilled and aged in a 65 litre American white oak cask, then bottled up at cask strength. Just 49 bottles were produced, so snap one up swiftly!
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Floral citrus, cracked black pepper, peanut brittle, a whisper of caraway and red chilli flake.
Palate
Brown sugar, cinnamon, chewy toffee, orange peel, a touch of dark chocolate mousse, stem ginger, and menthol.
Finish
Strong rye warmth, mellowed by juicy orchard fruits and vanilla pod.
