Kyrö Sauna Stories No.3 70cl Whisky

The third chapter in Kyrö’s Sauna Stories series is the first to bring smoke into the mix. Kyrö Sauna Stories No. 3 takes the Finnish distillery’s characterful rye whisky, adds freshwater peat smoke, then finishes it in Monbazillac wine casks for a layer of rich fruit and sweetness.

As with the previous releases, the whisky is finished in the warmth and humidity of a real Finnish sauna, where the heat helps the spirit and oak get rather better acquainted. The result combines peppery rye spice, ripe orchard fruit, billowing smoke and gentle sweetness, all bottled at a robust 50.7% ABV. Just 3,924 bottles were produced.
