An independent bottling of Finnish rye whisky from the cracking Kyrö Distillery Company! This expression was distilled in 2016 and bottled up in 2021 by Berry Bros. & Rudd for its Nordic Casks #1 series (which features an impressive array of whiskies from Nordic countries). Great whisky, excellent for sipping neat to appreciate the vibrancy, spicy, creamy elements.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
freshly baked rye bread, with a good layer of salted butter. Hints of caramel pop up later on.
Palate
Banana chips, peppercorn, mint leaf, cooked apple, pine, and juicy red berries.
Finish
Lingering hints of caraway and toasted sesame seeds.
