Koval Bourbon Bottling Note

Koval bourbon is made with 51% corn (the minimum required for a bourbon) with the rest of the mashbill being made up by millet. This unusual choice, used to make distilled spirits in Nepal, is gluten-free. The bourbon is also organic, unfiltered and single barrel.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Tropical fruits, vanilla and buttery custard.

Palate: Sweet and warming, orchard fruit, orange, buttery, milk chocolate, caramel.

Finish: Cask char and dried apricot tang.

Koval Bourbon Reviews

Very good

Received it as a gift. Was pleasantly surprised with both nose and palate, but especially the palate. Not like other bourbons I've tried. The millet grain does add some unique character to it. Reminds me of Blanton's, which is one of my favorite. This would easily compete with Blanton's as a sipper in my bar.
