Description

An independently bottled Knockdhu from Netherfield Bond, distilled in 2006 and matured for 18 years. This lightly peated Speyside single malt was finished in oloroso cask wood before being bottled from a single cask at 55.8% ABV.

Nose

Demerara sugar, vanilla, baked apple, and dried apricot, with honey, fig jam, and a soft thread of smoke.

Palate

Lemon sherbet, stewed orchard fruit, dark honey, and dried fig. Green chilli and cardamom bring a lively spice, balanced by gentle peat and oak.

Finish

Dark chocolate, cardamom, drying oak, and a final wisp of smoke.
