anCnoc Peatheart - Batch 3
This is the third batch of anCnoc Peatheart from the Knockdhu distillery. The richly peaty single malt is distilled from malted barely with a phenol content of 34 PPM, with the final whisky measuring a mellower 13.3 PPM. Packing elegant layers of smoked honey, sweet peat smoke, grassy malt, and vanilla.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Smoky notes of charcoal and hickory, earthy peat and honey, with cakey spice and cut grass in tow.
Palate
Crisp notes of green apples and dried orange lead to oaken vanilla, with sweet peat smoke and spices throughout.
Finish
Bonfire embers, oily smoke, and a hint of straw.
