    Single Malt

    anCnoc 2002

    In 2002, the folks at Knockdhu set aside this whisky to age. In 2017, they cracked open the specially selected Spanish and American oak casks and bottled up the whisky for this release! Not only is a delicious whisky putting the brilliant fruitiness of anCnoc whiskies on display for all to enjoy, but it reminds us of 2002 - the year '28 Days Later' was released in cinemas and 'Original Pirate Material' by The Streets made its way to portable CD players everywhere. A good year by all counts.

    Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

    Nose

    Fresh citrus peels and a hint of pineapple. Spicy malt with a pinch of vanilla.

    Palate

    Waves of honey milky coffee, with yet more creamy lemon following shortly after.

    Finish

    A subtly hoppy bitterness - paired with the orange peel notes, it's somewhat reminiscent of an IPA.

    class drink

    lovely dram this.. 15 yrs young and very fruity. lots of lemon, malt, honey and a bit of vanilla. medium finish but leaves you wanting more from the distillery. this was my first try from there but wont be my last.
