Knockando 10 Year Old 2011 (casks 306232 & 306248) - Un-Chillfiltered Collection (Signatory)
This tremendous Speyside single malt hails from the Knockandu Distillery, independently bottled up by Signatory. Distilled in November 2011, this whisky was filled into a pair of hogshead casks, where it remained until January 2022, when the casks were opened and it was bottled up, without any chill-filtration to join Signatory's Un-Chillfiltered Collection.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Warm buttered bread, waxed lemons, zesty honey, a touch of liquorice.
Palate
More silky honey sweetness, caramelised nuts, crisp, spiced apple, and crumbly shortbread.
Finish
Nutty malt with a peppering of allspice, still plenty of sweet caramel, and juicy fruit lingers.
