Knob Creek Kentucky Straight Bourbon is an utter classic small batch whiskey from Jim Beam, first created by Booker Noe and introduced in 1992. It was named after the creek which flows near where Abraham Lincoln grew up.
Quite spicy and sweet. Melted salty butter on granary toast, toasty oak and a touch of rye with caramel sweetness.
Peppy and full. Notes of candy floss and nut oil, a touch of spice and dark chocolate, a little spice and charred oak.
Long with a touch of dryness, nut oils and vanilla spice.
I'm in my late seventies, and I have tried more bourbons than most. Knob is a truly great sipping whiskey. I laughed when I read some of the bad reviews. I'm sure most of those are from kids still trying to catch their breath. Sip it, boys. Sip it. Nice flavor. Smooth and silky.

That's exactly what I said and felt on my first sip: Wow! I was also surprised to find that this was 50%, but that explains the nice finish it has going on. The flavour is well rounded and it's not rushed nothing overpowering, it's a well organised dance. My only problem with it is that it doesn't get more and more complex the more you drink it, so you need to sip it at a slower pace to really enjoy everything it has to offer, but since it's 50% that might not be an entirely bad thing either. Definitely a must-have; sure it's not super refined or stunningly complex but for the price it's just perfect to have at hand for those days you feel like having one. If you like Eagle Rare you'll probably like this one as well since they are two sides of the same coin; tastes a bit similar yet complement each other.
Good enough for me. Purchase the King sized 1.75 .Worth it just for the incredible nose of the bottle. This is true bourbon.
