Winner of 1 awardTwin Wood is a 16 year old single malt from the Knappogue Castle range, which was initially matured in bourbon barrels before being transferred over to casks seasoned with Oloroso Sherry for a finishing period. Very good value Irish whiskey, right here.

Very smooth but characterless and not a very pleasant aftertaste. I only had the 50ml minature and won't be buying anymore.
The more I drink this whiskey the more I like it. Its not too challenging but very smooth. I do like it.
Bought a bottle to augment my everyday Knappogue 12 Year Old. This whiskey is very like Yellowspot in the mouth and nose. I serve it on special occasions to my friends who favor big whiskey flavor. While this is a 5 star whiskey for me, most of the time I'm drinking the 12 Year Old. The malt in it is more obvious. I still give it a 5 star years after first tasting it.
Never been a whiskey drinker - but had this in a restaurant, served with a salted caramel dark chocolate brownie. F'ing delicious! Ordered a glass afterward - they even brought it with a dark chocolate truffle. Truly amazingly delicious!
Great Whiskey!
